The First Drop — Publisher’s Note

The First Drop — Publisher’s Note

Most local media tries to cover everything.

LP won’t.

long play quarterly exists for one reason: to filter the region down to what’s actually worth your time—the places, people, rooms, shows, meals, and moments that make Dayton and the Miami Valley feel like itself.

Underneath all of it, here’s what we’re really about:

slow life in the Miami Valley.

We love this region. Not in the cheesy, cheerleader way—in the lived-in way. The way you love a place because you’ve watched it change, you know the people, and you’ve got spots you don’t bother telling everyone about.

This is the start. And we’re taking our time.
Yes—long play quarterly will be a printed magazine.

That’s the goal. That will be the keepsake.

But we’re not printing the first page until we’ve earned it.

We’re going to build the following first. Find our collaborators, contributors, and partners. Prove the value—to readers, to creators, and to the businesses who want to be part of something that lasts.

For now, here’s the rhythm:
Every week, we’ll send the LP Drop — what’s new, what’s worth it, and what we’d tell a friend to go do this weekend.

No fluff. No filler. Just the good stuff.

Thanks for being early.
Thanks for having taste.
Thanks for helping us build something real.
